Our member community supports us, we all in turn support our larger community.
Hunger is not a problem limited to the residents of urban communities. Rural areas, despite illusions to the contrary, have families dealing with the same issues as their urban counterparts. An estimated 15.4% of rural households – approximately 3 million households nationwide – are “food insecure.”*
For years, Sylvan Hills Farm has made it a priority to share our farm’s bounty with those in need in the larger community.
We harvest any surplus produce and the produce that need regular picking every couple of days and send them off to the local food shelf. With the aid of local volunteers.
You can donate so we can provide even more produce (this is not a tax deductible donation).
